Moti Ghar began not in a boardroom, but on the streets of India - where reality cannot be ignored.
Our founders witnessed a small group of families living in fragile make shifts tents during the monsoon season. The water pooled around and under. Upon enquiry, they were often on the move and did not have the resources to set up basic shelter.
"What if protection didn't have to be permanent to be powerful? What if we could provide immediate, portable, effective shelter - a bridge between crisis and stability?"
From that question, Moti Ghar was born. The name itself – Moti Ghar meaning Pearl House – represents something precious and protective, a safe space that holds immeasurable value for those who need it most.
Moti Ghar exists to provide the homeless access to safe, dignified, temporary shelter while they rebuild their lives.
